How the Delays never crossed over. Excited for this new album but I honestly think your thread is the first thing i've even seen on it on the internet for weeks. Considering it's coming out soon that's not good. Under rated band.
It's a shame how they're popularity has dwindled - their music has always had a special kind of beauty to it, and Greg has one of the most stunning voices in pop music today.
But anyway, I'm really excited for the album and for their Oxford gig on Sunday... just hoping there will be more people attending than online coverage suggests there'll be!
I am excited for this. Delays are a fantastic band I just don't think that Star Tiger, Star Ariel is a particularly good title, especially when compared to Faded Seaside Glamour, You See Colours and Everything's The Rush. They've yet to make a bad album however so I'm quietly optimistic that I'll learn to live with its name
but new single sounds good...
with some people who've not seen them before. And everyone who hasn't seen Delays live before gets a bit of a shock, because they're really rather good on a stage.
So yeah, they deserve better.
They have come back home on this record. It is a wealth of balm, highs, buzz electronics and spiked guitars. The melody still remains king. Aaron sings on one. Greg leads on ten
