Edinburgh 27th November so far......
on sale 3rd June.
not long after 'Our Love...' came out. Carlos was ill and I seem to recall the date before was cancelled and the one following it.
It was pretty dull, to be honest... But then, the Corn Exchange is the worst venue in Edinburgh. And probably only second to the SECC in terms of the worst venues I've seen bands play in (possibly excluding gigs I've played meself). Unfortunately, I've seen many a gig at the ECE, I do my best to avoid it where I can though... It even made Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds a pretty miserable experience (in a bad way). Shite.
To sum up: if they were playing any other venue in the Central Belt (other than the SECC), I'd probably go. But they (thus far) aren't, so I won't... *crosses fingers for a Barrowlands date*
Saw them at the Astoria and they were great and then they played ally pally and the sound just killed them. If I put my CD player on it probably would've been louder.
for it. Corn Exchange was loud, but the atmosphere is fucking shite, always. Used to be an abattoir. Go figure... Although, funnily enough, A Morrissey gig was one of the few enjoyable examples I've had there.
i'm hopin for the barra's as well ... at worst the academy in glasgow... which is fucking shite as well, but better than corn exchange
fingers crossed for Brixton.
Indeed, if they do Ally Pally again I certainly won't be going.
words can not explain. i saw three shows in 2007, big mistake.
that i have no live interest in due to their first album shitting on later material from such great height
As do the Decemberists. Don't think I've forgotten, you naughty musical imps.
it was tacked onto the end of the tour for OLTA and it was epic. They actually laughed and joked, and genuinely looked like they were enjoying being on stage. Better late than never I guess.
Interpol announce 2 shows at O2 Academy Brixton for Monday 6th & Tues 7th December 2010
Rock City, Nottingham – 24th November
O2 Academy, Newcastle – 25th
O2 Academy, Birmingham – 26th
Edinburgh Corn Exchange – 27th
Dublin Olympia – 29th
Manchester Apollo – 3rd December
Liverpool University – 4th
Brixton Academy – 6th and 7th
most are on presale now
(and thus no alternative to the fucking Corn Exchange), then.
Been wanting to see them live for a long time. Feel abit funny about spending a relatively large amount of money on something so faaaar away, when I don't have very much though :(
How likely are these to sell out quickly? (The Brixton shows that is)
