My first gig in London, cannot wait! Whats the venue like?
For a Carling Academy venue Shepherds Bush is... alright actually.
Looking forward to seeing what Factory Floor is like; they played with Cosey Fanni Tutti - so must be interesting in some way.
I can't go, but if I could I'd go mainly for Factory Floor. If you defer to Hypemachine or somewhere there's probably some free mp3s knocking about.
...will be there with all our friends. Gig of the spring, and of course we are Factory Floor fans of long-standing. It's quite an early one, they're on at 20.15, Fol Chen on first.
Where'd you find the times?
They're a noisy set of rascals. Crazy relentless enthusiastic drummer guy. Kinda enigmatic guitar basher lady. Broody blasé knob twiddly chap. Good stuff.
I've inadvertently seen 'em twice in the last month or so. Firstly supporting Fuck Buttons and then supporting Cold Cave. Good stuff.
factor floor are gonna be fucking awesome
from what i hear are gonna be brutal
... got a tickets
Not badly played but the sound seemed lacking and overly boomy to me. On top of that there seemed to be no stage 'show' at all. Last time I saw them they were dressed up impressively but this was normal clothes with fairly dull pedestrian lighting that meant you couldn't even see them for most of the gig.
There were some amazing cunts behind us who were talking loudly. At one stage someone clearly told them to shut up and their response was that if we could hear them then Liars weren't loud enough. Great work.
We missed Factory Floor, unfortunately.
.. I was near the back at the end and hears those people a bit. was a bit too far forward to see who was speaking tho.
as they clearly wanted to get some attention...
Some bloke yelled "he's Tweeting for God's sake!" at me when I sent a text between songs, knobend. Really enjoyed Liars though, it was one of those gigs I was looking forward to so much that they'd have had to have done something really wrong to disappoint me. Couldn't believe they played "Sailing to Byzantium". Factory Floor were great too, only wish Liars could have been that loud.
