Last minute MTV gig - next Wednesday night - £12.50
How the hell does Seatwave work?
It says the average ticket price is £12.50 but the options on the right have the cheapest listed tickets as £40. I don't understand it!
so I jumped on this yesterday, and snapped up a ticket for 12.50. I presume that lots of people also did that, and whacked them straight back on there at a massive mark-up.
I found it strange that that this was where I was being directed to buy, too. but i was in the right place at the right time yesterday when i saw the first post in this thread
but its not a regular one like ticketweb or seetickets; i think it is user hosted.
I'll stop rambling on, just Wiki it!
i would be hesitant to have anything to do with them as a result.
cant find any. lame.
is why I've never used them before. I was also very put off by the advertising which was pushing the idea that selling on tickets was somehow doing everyone a favour by getting tickets for the right event to the right fans.
shame on Vampire Weekend, even though to be fair it's no doubt those corporate suckers of satan's cock, MTV, who most likely to be at fault
it's a "secondary market ticket reselling" sites, allowing fans to interact with each other.
yeah, it's really shit, but that's what the industry's reaction to touting has been - to accept that if they can't stop it they may as well get in on the action themselves. pretty disgusting but then thats the music industry for you.
I only found out about the gig from this thread- so thanks. I thought it was only fair to return the favour and let you know.
As for our competition-
It's a simple show up, pick up a raffle ticket, have a dance, then if we call your number at 2.30am you win kind of thing...
Seatwave is EEEVIIL I tells ye, evil.
