crikey, he needs a rest:
I liked Hombre Lobo but End Times felt a little flat, not the same spark that previous albums had. But I still think he's got it in him to do something great.
I guess now he's self-releasing stuff he can put out more of it.
I really liked Lobo but I've not really listened to End Times much. Should rectify!
I'm a bit wary about how soon this is released. Hope his quality control's not screwed up.
I love all of his previous albums, but the last two probably wouldn't make it in my top 50 for each respective year. Here's hoping the new one appeals to me more, but I won't hold my breath.
I thought End Times was very, very good but that Hombre Lobo was a little bit crap.
High hopes for another good record.
though quality control has always been less important than the concept of the album to him.. (e.g. side 2 of souljacker)
he's always worked on different projects at the same time, often holding records back for a year or two during the promotional period of another record.
they contain a few tracks along with his very best...
'in my dreams' 'hombre lobo' 'little bird 'in the beginning' 'end times'
but Manc Academy is nearest venue and it's so fucking soulless :(
