The first half was as good as any i've seen in a long time. Felt the slow ones/intstrumentals were a bit flat. Monday night gigs are always generally a struggle unless i'm totally engrossed though.
Am now massively looking forward to their Primavera go.
They played (basicaly) everything you wanted to hear.
The sound was great - every riff was crystal clear, and they have some great riffs.
Tiny, intimate venue.
And Brendan Canning looking exactly like Garth ("SCHWIIINNG!")
Never been to a gig at Heaven before but i though the sound was really good. Beer was pricey mind, but where isn't these days (God i sound old)?
New stuff sounded very very impressive. Will have to invest.
only minor grumble was no Ibi Dreams, but hands-down the best gig I've been to this year. Love their genuine passion for playing live, compared to numerous can't-be-arsed successful bands.
Oh, and Charles Spearin, what a legend!
