thanks, i hope this cheers me up and my stomach bug goes
Holding off for wax, no use in listening in any other way than optimum for this bad boy.
I'm surprised that it was only me that commented on Chris Power's review, I expected a lot more people from here to be getting all excited about this.
just thought it would curb some stealing haha.
I'm tryin not to pay any attention to reviews untill I've got it really. Listening to the epic Brainfeeder radio set was enough to keep me going until next week.
It's always good to start with a totally clean slate on something like that...
I put it on when I was sat in bed when it was on live, but my girlfriend was NOT up for Kode9 jungle at 11:30pm :(
I dunno if there is a recording flying around somewhere.
I usualy use reviews to try and persuade me to listen to something, I don't really need that with FlyLo haha. I'll dig in once I've played it though, I can't help geeking out and reading loads after a while.
is that the review has come out prior to us having the album (in most cases). And when it such an anticipated album, I don't want to read it until after I have my own opinion, which usually comes after multiple listens. Once I have an opinion, I don't really want to comment in the review page because no one will see it anymore. It gets old saying 'nice review, I will check it out', and all that really does is give the reviewer a pat on the back.
I think the reviews should appear in the music forum just like any other thread, if someone comments on it then it bumps, just like normal. Having the two in separate places is detrimental.
Having said that, this album is absolutely just dripping with layers and layers of texture, I think it will keep opening up the more and more I listen.
on Resident Advisor they come up on the forum as well and the comments from the thread appear under the review as comments and on the thread. Its not as active as here mind. It might connect the front page with the forum more here.
I think it would be really good to link the relevant thread to the base of the album, like Resident Advisor. If there's already been an existing thread then it becomes attached to the review but also stays in the forum - I think that's a really good way of doing it.
OH YES. <
