I hope The Futureheads keep making records for many, many years to come. They may not divert from their stock sound too much but it's a good 'un - they make short, sharp, jerky records with singalong choruses, fun vocal harmonies and often play at a breakneck speed far closer to punk than indie. A total blast live (often pretty funny 'tween-song banter too) and always seem to show good humour and grace despite being dropped at a time when they were hardly flatlining, which shows resolve too. They know what they're strong at and they by and large stick to it, unashamedly & without trying to amalgamate ill-conceived and seemingly arbitrary new 'directions', and it still works.
if you replace 'great' with
'fucking brilliant' then you'd be correct.
