Self-titled for me, listened to it again the other day and it's brilliant.
I was never a big fan but I really like that one
I like a lot of tracks from the others but as albums they're kind of annoying.
accidently pressed enter while editing...
13 > Blur > Modern Life Is Rubbish > Parklife > The Great Escape > Leisure > Think Tank
Pritty sure thats right for me, I've loved them all at some point mind.
love it, from star to finish.
For me it goes a little something like this:
The Great Escape > Parklife > Blur > i like bits and bobs of all the others equally
I like it, I like it a lot.
Noise + more noise + fine pop tunes + baggy beats = happy happy happy.
I accept I may be the only one who likes this album.
i also like bits and pieces of Modern Life and Leisure. The other two albums i find pretty annoying for the most part.
amazing album. Nice to see a few others on here who love it. Didn't DiS actually give it a 10? Mint.
Also Blur and Parklife... Modern Life is always overrated in my opinion, but still really good. Leisure is shit, Great Escape is 50% class and 50% shit. 13 I've never really got into, which is bad I know.
By quite a distance, AND I love Blur.
Would order them
13 >>>> The Great Escape >> Blur >>> Modern Life Is Rubbish > Leisure >> Parklife > Think Tank
where Think Tank is about a 6.8, Pitchforkwise, and 13 a 9.7
My favourite album by anyone, ever.
it's the only one I really listen to these days
I can't face most the albums now, they're all very of their time for me.
...it's true, you know...
but I kind of left it behind with me at school. The big tracks are still ace for a sing along with drunk friends but I can't face it as an album anymore.
....that Parklife hasn't aged well. Still sounds great to me. Easily their best album
Only really like 'Tracy Jacks' and 'The Debt Collector' from the first half. Only really dislike 'London Loves' from the second.
'Trouble In The Message Centre', 'Clover Over Dover' and 'This Is A Low' are masterpieces. Yes, the emo ones. Blur were almost always a better band when dark or melancholy IMO!
Blur > Parklife > Think Tank (though 'Crazy beat' can suck my balls) > 13 > Modern Life is rubbish > Great Escape > Leisure
I'm STILL waiting for them to do a record with 11 songs on it as good as 'Music is my radar' though.
Music Is My Radar is a loads better latter day party track but Crazy Beat is still alright. In fact I think its the only track I'm that arsed about on Think Tank. I saw them live around the time of Think Tank, I think that put me off the album. It was awful.
namely Ambulance, which could EASILY have fitted onto 13
then Out Of Time, On The Way To The Club, Caravan, Jets and Battery In Your Leg are quite good
the rest is fairly mundane, although there's a live version of Me, White Noise I have which clean destroys the original
Not a big fan of their earlier stuff really. Also like the self titled and Think Tank a lot.
