I'm getting stupidly excited.
Really looking forward to Earthless too
so excited I had to mention it twice
I want to be right in front of the drummer. Need to get there pretty early I guess.
ya cheeky bugger. I fucking LOVE Russian Circles.
Need to listen to the new album a bit more though, sadly there are no real standout tracks so far though.
Hopefully they'll play some of the full-throttle stuff off the first album too
I don't really know enough about the technical stuff :(
Do you like Pelican SC? I've just looked at their tour list. Damn it, I should've gone to SXSW last year - looks like they haven't been to the UK since 2007.
I'll see if I can find the debut though, cheers dear.
Are you on last.fm by the way?
I was reading it in MusicWeek today.
the radio is staying (and a core part of what they do!)
Im going :D
Be sure to tell me that you saw me but didn't say hello the next day in your usual style dear!
Somehow I have managed to miss them every time they have played London. This should be great. Earthless were pretty amazing at Supersonic last year too.
just listening to Geneva now, took a chance on this from emusic today and loving it so far. Shame I didn't do it a week earlier as they played Bristol on Thursday, trying to think of reason I couldn't have gone now as I've missed it, durrrr.
Russian Circles were on about 9.15-9:30 if that's anything to go by.
9:30 Russian Circles
according to a very cheerful Underworld lady.
My mate's got ill at the last minute. Looking for the price I paid (£12) Can meet around Camden 7:15-7:45ish (want to be in in time for Earthless). pm me if you're interested.
*does air drums*
however I left after 50 mins because I've really been bloody sick this week and needed to get back to my sick bed. ^ that is what I went for.
Wasn't too keen on the sound in there last night though - heard a lot of shitty ear-splitting feedback - how was it where you were?
Sound seemed great from where I was (against the rail to the left of the stairs), though I did have my earplugs in so ear-splitting doesn't tend to happen.
but then I reckoned they'd probably close with it - did they?
but they definitely did Station towards the end. Mid-set they played a few of the mellower numbers, and then they went full-tilt to close/encore.
