1st Quarter Favourite Songs

So coming up this week on DiS Wendy is going to be revealing her singles of the first quarter and we'll be running a bunch of bits to digest the year so far, including - if i finish it in time - a PDF collating the best features and reviews of the year so far for you to print out or fire up on your iPhone.

Anyway, there's been plenty of threads on favourite albums, what about songs? Here's my 10-track mixtape-like playlist (i.e. not in order of how much I like them) of 10 songs i've been obsessed with in 2010, so far...

I'll second Pantha Du Prince... also Liars - Overachievers, These New Puritans - White Chords.

Thinking about this list has made me realise I haven't listened to many new albums this year.

I so far haven't heard anything better than the first song I listened to on New Years Day...

Which is Delorean's "Seasun'. I'm not sure I'm likely to either. I quite like the Joanna Newsom song where she sings 'Dragonflies' in a ridiculous way. It's probably called Dragonflies. I haven't listened to much this year.
