anyone seen them live on this tour? (except for me)
They play in London tonight.
(and fix the 2nd sentence in the 3rd paragraph)
which bit do you mean anyway, the scissor sisters part?
the word you're looking for is "mind", not "band"
Probably the happiest I've seen Joel Gibb since their very first London headline gig, back in 2003.
This show had everything, from a good selection of songs spanning all albums, to a cover of obscure German band Ton Steine Scherben called "Macht kaputt, was euch kaputt macht", sung in German obviously, and a rousing encore that included "Ban Mariage" and most of the band ending up on the dancefloor. Euphoric indeed.
For some reason I thought that this was happening whilst I was away and didn't buy a ticket. Please don't tell me that it wasn't sold out.
Twas like a can of sardines.
(they did play another gig in London while you were away)
they played the german song in the same venue on their last tour.
the shows i saw them do last year were much better, but it was good to hear some rarities in notts. think they only played 4-5 of the same songs they did last year. no ban marriage though :(
how hot was the keyboard player? if i hadn't been standing the other side of the stage from her i don't think i'd have been able to stop from staring...
the other keyboardist is too
The band looked really happy to be up there, and the crowd were going pretty wild for them. They sounded absolutely perfect.
but an awesome awesome gig none the less. Sharleen Spiteri in the crowd, always had a thing for her when I was younger ;-)
