Quite excited about the new record. Who amongst you DiS folk can I expect to be rubbing shoulders with in Moho?
But I happen to be very highly excited by new record prospect! Also very pleased with the Bath Komedia date; its all very well for you folks living in manchester, but they/bands in general don't usual come so conveniently close to me. But now they have! And it's brilliant. :)
but well looking forward to the new album.
But last time I saw them when they played in Leeds irish centre they didn't have the 7 foot tall bear with them, might catch it on this tour!
Most bands, you'd have no chance of a 7 foot bear appearing onstage. But BSP aren't most bands...
i saw them at leeds met and they made some sort of reference to that...
they had the bear at the gig i went to though :D
got a bit carried away and fell off a stack of speakers and cracked his head open!
but live they really didn't grab me (saw them at koko just after DYLRM? was released and at Lowlands festival that summer). May well go see them anyway, cos on record they might be my favourite band.
But when they are on form (which is most of the time) they are very hard to beat. I'd say it's definitely worth the gamble.
They have subdued nights, like in Bristol 08, but even then they're better than most! You get air raid sirens and some chunky knits, surely the bear is just a bonus. Which I aim to see at some point...
Put on a good show, lots of foliage, robot costumes and playful violence. Fantastic, really. On record they're getting more and more watered down but I'll still get the new album out of interest.
but I still might head to the manchester date. I just wish it wasn't at such a terrible venue.
Anyone know if it's a half decent venue??, it's the only date I can make.
