Is a great song.
A genuinely sad and touching song, which is a lot from a manufactured girl group ballad.
But ah, I love the Spice Girls in general. All these Girls Alouds and such have nothing on them.
and the video is just barmy.
They ain't go nothing on Girls Aloud mind you.
spice girls time
seriously, such a good song
there's nothing more alternative than admitting you like the most wet through plastic pop songs ever recorded... when the next Arcade Fire album sounds like Mystique or maybe Future Of The Left release a covers album of All Saints song then fair enough;
but until then... come on, really?
A good song's a good song, regardless of who its by yadda yadda CHRIST I'M SO SICK OF HAVING THIS ARGUMENT WITH PEOPLE
with crap sickly sweet songs. I always preferred All Saints, Better looking, better songs. Black Coffee and Pure Shores versus the best the Spice Girls could muster - no contest.
I probably preferred 2 Become 1.
Looking back I don't think the Spice Girls had that many good songs. I mean I like a good pop song as much as any else but I don't think they had too many of them.
2 Become 1 was a good song and Too Much and Viva Forever were decent. Stop was okay but clearly a pastiche but I think the rest of them don't really stand the test of time too well. Certainly not a patch on the Girls Aloud back catalogue.
most of their output has dated really badly.
despite the slightly saccharine sentiments, I still think this is fucking amazing. 3.20 through to 3.49 is hair on the back of yr neck time for me.
I wonder if hansisland could provide us with a list of which pop groups it's acceptable to geuinely like. New Order made some of 'the most wet through plastic pop songs ever recorded' but I don't suppose they're on the blacklist.
I'll go back to cracking windows with My Bloody Valentine b-sides and squirming around on the floor inside a Sonic Youth poster.
come on... that is a little bit true though isn't it
My favourite band's Oasis. I'm not an indie. I'm a nobodie.
