doing new album & tour.
This has improved my day tenfold :D
that Latitude rumour looks a lot more likely then
but this appears to be Metal Day.
PS. I like them too.
There was a day that any B&S related news would make me excited like a child at Christmas. But I couldn't care less these days, they're a completely different band.
but it would have got boring otherwise.
I think the last two albums are right up there with their best stuff.
but I do think Dear Catastrophe Waitress was great and the Life Pursuit a decent album (no worse than "Fold..." or "The Boy With The Arab Strab")
I'd much rather a band moved on than did the same thing over and over to diminishing returns.
who will hardly have been following them when Tigermilk was released, aged 8 or something. christ
not that that has anything to do with anything.
Was into them massively from 13-18, saw them live loads of times etc. But the last 2 albums sounded like a bunch of TV themes.
I guess you "grow out" of bands too, as theguywithnousername suggested. They were a massive part of my teenage years, so to shoot me down because of my age is pretty ridiculous.
is the most boring thing in the world. just nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia.
some other euro/japan festivals and apparently, a UK date to be confirmed next week!
Belle & Sebastian headlining Latitude, as the rumour goes? Really? Would they really have done so four years ago when they were last active, given their last gig to date was at the similarly sized Electric Picnic and they were second on the second stage, and two weeks before they'd headlined a 6,000 capacity festival?
I've been reading the Q&A for the last two years just to keep them near me and to know they exist. Personally, they haven't done a 'proper' record that I wouldn't happily stick on at any point. God Help The Girl was impressive aswell. Hopefully, the rest would have reinvigorated them and i'll be happy with something of a similar quality to 'The Life Pursuit'.
Come on, that would fit in really nicely!
