Craziest song to play before leaving the house! Bouncerdebouncebounce!
I thought it was a bit hit and miss at first but I pretty much like or love every song now.
I've got No One Could Ever as my ringtone, people give me the strangest looks, it's like my phone's having a seizure.
Lots of it shimmers in a painfully garish way, but I can't quite help but enjoy it. Even 'Joy Fantastic', which I absolutely hated, I'm coming round to, thanks to it opening Martyn's Fabriclive.
I love the last few songs, it feels like he gets past the whole tacky cocainey thing that the rest of the album's got going on and hits a bit deeper.
Free HudMo refix (in the vein of his Oops Oh My one) and mix up hither...
My girlfriend is rinsing FUSE as well at the moment. Do you guys know what the deal is with the uk tour he's got planned? Is it full band? Or just a dj kinda thing?
but I don't think its a band. I'm going to his date in Leeds so I'm curriouse to see what its going to be like. I'm guessing its going to be a mixture of live/DJ set like FLying Lotus or something where he'll be at a computer with lots of controlers playing his own stuff and other peoples, but who knows.
Also, Rising 5 is probably one of the most joyous tunes I've ever heard.
that venue is so shit though, the soundsystem is awful and its pretty much a weathspoons but without the nicely priced booze. Starkey played there last year and the vibe was rubbish even though he killed it. Rising 5 is brilliant too! The whole album just keeps on giving, its so much fun.
in Manc a few weeks back. It's a weird one though, it's at the new factory in Manchester and billed as a gig and finishes at 11 which doesn't seem to suit the music at all. Could turn out to be a very chin strokey affair which is the opposite of what his sets make you want to do.
this venue I'm going to is like a pub really that puts on gigs and the odd club, its 9-3 though but I bet HudMo is on fairly early. There are so many better clubs in town he would go down well at. I saw FlyLo at a 'gig' in Leeds and he killed it though, but it was strange leaving at 11 ish after hearing him.
Such a trippy, cool album. Twistclip Loop and No One Could Ever are schlick as well.
Love the obsession with all that early-mid 90's r&b too. Has got me digging up old R. Kellz and Jodeci.
