I love them.
he voice is amazing and they're pretty cool. But from what I've heard after that, it was all a bit meh*
*"meh" is internet for so-so.
Valentine is a classic pop song and Faded Seaside Glamour is one of my favourite noughties albums.
for many below average ones...
Great even if you listen to them on a sunny summer day while spending time outside.
The third one was disappointing though.
They were my favourite band for a long time. Not sure if they still are now, but Faded Seaside Glamour still makes for a lovely listen, as you said, especially in summer.
are pure pop gems. I've only recently got their other two, but what I've heard off them doesn't live up to those.
a few years ago i spent a good few months really liking them. i even went to an embrace gig they were supporting -didn't stay and watch embrace but instead hung about in the bar and spoke to one of the delays (lulz). now i'm not sure what i was thinking.
Can't think of many jangly guitar pop songs better than Nearer than Heaven from the noughties. V. good live too, the singer's voice is a strange and lovely thing
at a gig in Bournemouth.
If anyone's interested in buying the rights to my life story, PM me.
faded seaside glamour is great, the first half of it anyways
New album out soon I believe. Southampton's got a lot going on right now with Band Of Skulls also, 2 new/re-juvinated venues and a thriving live music scene. Just need this recession thing to end, really and we'll all be a bit happier!
has just signed a new major label deal... Haha.
Southampton is a suburb of Los Angeles complete with it's own subway system.
Unless he met that chick on the roof of the sandwich-centric fast food franchise.
