Finally coming over to the UK in May - The Great Escape / Camden Crawl and a headline date at The Lexington.
Any love here??
Been pestering the blighters via the internets to get themselves over here.
So you can imagine my annoyance at their Lexington date clashing with Pavement. ffs.
Homelands was one of my albums of last year, if not my very favourite.
This is great news.
where did you find this info?
I FEEL LOVE FOR THIS BAND!!!
It took me a bit of searching to find it though.
i'd totally missedthis band the first time round and listening to the album now i'm totally loving them.
see you there.
...a new band in ages.
Homeless is a great album. Really great. People need to get into it!
It took me a while to get into it, but I love it now. The songs also sound like they're going to make for a great live show.
...in Salford on 2nd May!
islet supporting, thus two of the bands i most want to see in 2010 are together. anyone would think we'd talked about this before booking them...
tickets are apparently selling really well for the festival already, and we've not even announced the full lineup for our stage yet! stupidly excited!
Does that mean I better get some asap?
So it's probably a better safe than sorry instance! RAA and Islet... Exciting times!
but I thought that I'd bump this thread as I just found out today that my band My First Tooth will be supporting at The Lexington.
I'm pretty chuffed about this.
it says The Dignan Porch are support. Are you still playing? Two supports?
For some reason we didn't get a billing on the website or the posters. But yeah, there were two supports and we were one of them. But you probably know that by now.
I bought your cd off the slightly confused RRA drummer (he couldn't find your stock).
And random to realise that some of your members were in he sold space who I only know cos they jagged here years ago and I randomly checked out but were really good. Nice to see they/you still doing good stuff.
So er, yeah, well done.
Yeah, Sophie (our guitarist/violinist/everythingelseist) used to be in He Sold Space. They were dead good.
Hopefully we'll be back in London soonish. You can expect some mild jagging.
the raa are playing at the elgar room, albert hall as well on the 12th may, check it
They seemed to be genuinely quite humbled that the crowd were jumping around and singing along to every word.
easily one of the best shows that i have ever had the pleasure of being associated with. about three tracks into rural alberta's set i realised that the crowd were going so nuts that it looked like the pa speakers were about to topple over, took three of us to hold it up through the rest of the show. the band were amazing, crowd were amazing, atmosphere was amazing.
and doesnt suffer from london snob syndrome
Brilliant show though.
absolutely amazing. The singer gave me an album for free and everything. Lovely guy.
like a folky pumpkins band, good pumpkins too, not rotten stupid punpkins
after a previous thread on here, gutted i am not a londonite as would otherwise be here!
Get down early, yeah?
Anyone got any for the Lexington tonight?
will post here if and when I get them
please say it was crap. I couldnt go because i was too ill :(
I want to see them again.
