Music to Work Out to...?
Subtle difference in thread title (http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4227866), massive difference in music. What do you crank in the gym?
Been trying to find good stuff to row to, as it can't be as fast as running music. Been mostly going for stuff like Trans Am, Tarwater, Friendly Fires, LCD, Ratatat, Les Savy Fav, Nine Inch Nails lately...
Be curious what everyone else listens to.
Was thinking of getting some acts to do make us gym playlists, as that LCD 45:33 compilation for Nike doesn't really 'work' http://open.spotify.com/album/0Tw4IEPDfOj7cLefk75Qft . Think I tried the Simian Mobile Disco one once too, that was a bit of a fail too.

Gym? Que?
If I had to then Fabriclive 27 (if that's correct - Andrew Weatherall) would probably be my first choice.
6 stone
I lost 6 stone, endless intensive exercise bike'ing, always soundtracked by The Fall. Perfect incessant big crashing beats
The ones I always seem to come back to are
Electrelane
Menomena
Russian Circles

I started this kind of thread myself last week.
I discovered, purely by accident, that "Plaster Casts Of Everything" by Liars works REALLY WELL for running. The speed I use when I'm on the treadmill puts my stride EXACTLY IN TUNE with the drum beat. It's so wicked.
Songs that work well:
-M.I.A. - Bamboo Banga
-Raekwon - House Of Flying Daggers
-Justice - D.A.N.C.E. and DVNO, though really most of the album works exceptionally well
-Battles - Atlas, which has been my warm-up song since Mirrored came out
-Busdriver - Me-Time
-DOOM - Gazzillion Ear
-HEALTH - Die Slow, which is my personal favorite workout song, and all of HEALTH//DISCO works perfectly
-Dan Deacon - The Crystal Cat
-Liars - Drum and the Uncomfortable Can
-Hot Chip - Over and Over and Boy From School
-Aphex Twin - 4
-Burial - Archangel
-Cut Copy - Feel the Love and Lights and Music
-Dananananaykroyd - Watch This!
-The Death Set - Negative Thinking
-Foals - Cassius
-Gorillaz - Feel Good, Inc.
-YACHT - The Magic Beat
