Probably the most melodic thing they ever did, I wanna eat it, it's like candyfloss to my ears.
I had this on my iPod and I got caught singing and dancing to this in my common room in 6th year by about a quarter of my year.. Stunning album. Really.
well as in after Some Might Say and i loved it then and i LOVE it now.
best not to concentrate too hard on the lyrics of the second verse mind, which it has to be said might just be the worst/laziest ever put before the public by any band ever.
so you spend 20 minutes squinting and going cross-eyed, trying to get it to work, only for them to tell you it's not a Magic Eye at all, isn't it.
(btw, I'm a massive closet Oasis fan)
cigarettes in hell-go let it out b-side
roll it over-SOTSOG
best be quick before the elite witch hunt us for this thread!
I see them now, they're headed our way!
Quick, say something about Mogwai!
Underneath the Sky and Talk Tonight.
they took oasis side when printing up tee shirts after seeing Trevor MacDonalds documentary on the news at ten.
I knew it would be Hey Now, because it is indeed criminally underrated. I think the album is usually considered worse than Definitely Maybe, with the result that all the less well-known songs from it get no credit. In reality it's still a really good record with loads of lovely songs on. The stretch in the middle with this, Some Might Say and Cast No Shadow is awesome.
It's renouned as being below par to Definatley Maybe by the indies because it done so, so bloody well at the time. When in truth, both albums are quite different and it's a perfect process for them to make this their second one, and is of just as high quality as Definatley Maybe.
(tbh tho, it would've been fucking sterling if they'd brought out 'Kid A' instead of Be Here Now haha)
