So, I just started going back to the gym. Go me, right?
I suppose so. But, I find that doing anything active, save for riding my bike (which is pretty hum-drum considering it's my primary mode of transportation) is just a little more difficult without anything high-energy to listen to.
This is why I'm working on collecting music that keeps me going. So far I have a few favorites (I discovered today that "Die Slow" by HEALTH is absolutely perfect), and a few obvious choices (Atlas by Battles, OF COURSE), but I wanted to hear from all of you bright and shining faces... what should I use to help aid my goal of becoming less of a fatass?
Things I know work:
-Anything from Justice's Cross
-Foals - Cassius
-Cut Copy - Feel The Love and Lights & Music
-DOOM's Born Like This
-Wu-Tang Clan's 36 Chambers
-Raekwon's OB4CL pts. 1 and 2
-Busdriver - Jhelli Beam (mostly the first half)
There's big LCD screens with a bunch of shit on TV in front of the treadmills/ellipticals/cycles/stairmasters/etc., and these things work REALLY FUCKING WELL TOO:
-Jason Bourne, because Matt Damon beating the shit out of everyone is one way to really feel ENERGIZED
-Law & Order, because there's nothing better to take the edge off of an hour-long run than Elliot Stabler killing a guy and delving back into alcoholism
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I GET TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF MYSELF?
