it feels like 2004 all over again
what were YOU listening to in 2004?
(ps. if this double posts: FUCK YOU DiS)
I listened to a lot of things in 2004...
trawling through some old singles, I found All Mapped Out by The Departure. Think that was 2004 - I remember loving it at the time, not so much now.
how times change.
That rhythm section \m/
I can barely remember so looking at the plastic bag full of old gig tickets and picking a random band/tune
Saw a couple of amazing Mclusky gigs in 2004 too.
pretty much exclusively mclusky and ikara colt in 2004.
me and thesoundofbastards are in this video...
my 13 year old self probably would have loved them. Great band.
Excellent live too. Favourite gig was in 2002 at the 100 CLub.
In 2004 I was mostly listening to the Hunches and Captain Beefheart.
well the 15th like. I think I saw Ikara Colt in 2004 but they were already on the way out by then, the second album wasn't quite as good.
Very, very hot and sweaty though..
Always loved that song Rudd. I used to have a cracking live version of it
Though, I still listen to The Unicorns. And I think it was 2004. Maybe 2003. I might've heard them in 2004... idk
Ikara Colt were great - one of those bands brought to my attention by MTV2.
I also listened to that Melissa Auf der Maur album a lot, which I totally loved, and Modest Mouse brought out "Float On" in 2004, which was a MA$$IVE CHOON.
Rilo Kiley/Modest Mouse/Bright Eyes gig actually. I bet some people think that is cool but I was dragged to it. Wasn't dragged to A Perfect Circle/Auf Der Maur though. The first Perfect Circle album is good honest
at the shepherds bush empire and hammermsith apollo? if so, i was at both of these : )
2002 was all about them, The Pixies and my A-levels.
2004 was dominated by stoner rock of varying quality, Tool and NIN.
2002 was probably better
2004 was good!
with Parkinsons and Eighties Matchbox B Line Disaster, that was a really great gig, then saw them same timezone supporting someone like Yeah Yeah Yeahs. All I have of them was recorded off of John Peel
no idea what I was listening to in 2004 but here's what I've listened to today so far
My Bloody Valentine-Lovelesss
Captain Beefheart And The Magic Band-Clear Spot
Minor Threat-Complete Discography
The Fall-John Peel 15/06/78 and 06/12/78
Man Or Astro Man-Destroy All Astro Men
Rezillos-Can't Stand The Rezillos
The Fall-John Peel 31/12/88
My Bloody Valentine-Slow Thorn
The Fall-John Peel 17/12/94 and 22/12/95
Butthole Surfers-Hairway To Steven
Sleater Kinney-Dig Me Out
Shellac-At Action Park
i only bought the first album though but that was brilliant. They were an ace live band as well.
