I'm interested in giving this band a listen... anyone a fan of their albums?
They're coming to the UK later this year.
and all ive heard about the second has been high praise, need to listen properly.
also some of the nicest guys in the world.
new one is seriously dreamy. it goes and goes... saw them in london a year or two ago. nice enough. would have a look next time their about.
both their albums and their both utterly fantastic! Ashes grammar is my favourite but you can't go wrong with either of them really. Beautiful dream pop that will wrap itself around you and keep you warm during these cold winter months.
does your copy have a weird jump / skip about half way through (can't remember which transition it is on)? I can't work out if it is intentional. the album seems so carefully programmed to flow, so it seems a bit funny..
you know what i'm saying though..?
not really noticed that tbh. Ah'll listen out for it next time i give it a spin.
which is the retail copy I must add. I think you would have noticed it if it was on your version. hmmm.
but I feel like their actual songs lack somewhat. I always come away feeling a little indifferent, or forget that I'm actually listening to music.
in that there's generally too much going on, but occasionally chip out a few good songs. I like Tout new age a lot, haven't heard the 2nd album.
Second album haven't heard as much yet but seems like it's not a let down at all.
And go see them live, they managed to cut it. I saw them in, er, Glasgow last time they played. (No it wasn't a sunny day either).
seriously one of my favourite bands right now. check out 'tout new age' the last song is great. cant wait to see them later this year.
that song has been ingraved into my subconscious and I haven't listened to it for over a year but I know it sooooo well *puts it on now* ^.^ YAY
