Buy 'May the Bridges I Burn Light the Way'. It's right good. Fudge your HOT IN 2010 shiiite.
i thought we were about to get hardcore into music theory :-(
Just me then.
I like 'A Smile Is A Curve That Straightens Most Things' a lot, but the new one sounds far more fully realised.
looking forward to getting back to work to get back on this
new Bass Clef is wicked fresh
plus Ralph's live show is super fun
is the label for both Zun Zun and Bass Clef, so yes.
Though I believe Mr. Clef lives in London now...
Bass Clef is a talent tho I've got a 12" or two of his, the remix on Skull disco is deep as hell.
brilliant album. great start to 2010 with that and the nedry album.
in the underground column, for the issue our March... expect there will be a lot more coverage over the next two months, it really is something of a masterpiece (shades of Sabres Of Paradise, circe Haunted Dancehall)
available somewhere else soon.
I'm surprised you thought it was soulless though, I thought the production - all live instruments and analogue synths - made it sound warmer and more human than a lot of the really dark, alienating halfstep stuff floating around at the time. 'Subwoofer Loveletter' is particular is absolutely gorgeous, and with a surprising lightness of touch.
