Brilliant. I'm guessing Radiohead ripped this off a little bit in All I Need.
The Holy Grail
I never get bored of hearing that
...Richard of York Gave Battle in Vain.
i've often thought about making a thread to highlight its amazingness, and similarity to all i need - bassy piano effect.
well done to you.
and almost frustrating because it's onl a short track.
chromakey dreamcoat is my second favourite.
But I love it for its darkness, and its minimal charm.
Though Amo Bishop Roden (along with the rest of the EP and many, many other tracks) is all about Waco, so 'dark' fits that pretty well, too. In fact, most of their output is just downright creepy beneath the charming childhood nostalgia; 'Beware the Friendly Stranger' sums it up quite well as a phrase.
I think those guys used to be my favourite band, but I went off them somewhere along the line. Probably when Campfire Headphase finally surfaced, I suppose.
is the tits.
This one for Aquarius isn't nearly as good, but it's probably my favourite BoC track either way... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgWbgtjVow
it's come to my attention that The Advisory Circle sound a LOT like them. I didn't know that.
Christ. (was connected with BoC at some point)
Porn Sword Tobacco
I'd be hard pushed to name my favourite BoC track- Amo Bishop Roden, Music is Math, Olson, June 9th, 1969, Peacock Tail, Telephasic Workship, An Eagle in Your Mind are all great. It might even be Kaini Industries. Such a weird track.
Oneohtrix Point Never are working the whole swirly synths, pastoral interludes thing.
There was a rumour for a while that VHS Head was one half of BOC, I don't know whether 'tis true or not though.
Along with Frog Pocket, Reverbaphon and Belbury Poly. All superb.
