Phoenix
Animal Collective
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Ot's nice to see Bill Callahan so high up
he seems to have been strangely forgotten by many lists this year.
good list
I like the fact that the Broadcast & Focus Group album is on there, it's endearingly odd.
...and what about the rest?
But Doves must be included! It's a good album!
Man Of Aran? 11:11? Two cracking albums but nowhere to be seen... Fail.
still a fair share of shit but it's
the best 2009 list that's been posted so far
Shocked (but pleased) to see SFA at 2
but the moment I saw Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix at 10 I knew what 1 was going to be. SNORE.
Pleased to see Coxon in there
The Spinning Top didn't seem to get too much attention when it came out, overshadowed somewhat by the Blur reunion
I'm finding it hard telling these lists apart
I sware this is the same as that Planet Sound one and some others that have been posted, its getting depressing already... I hate this time of the year :(
indeed
you're a unique voice fella.
How does Dylan still manage to get so high in these lists?
Anyone who thinks Together Through Life was the fourth best album of the year doesn't deserve ears.
It could have been worse
it could have been his Christmas album
It's Uncut
If he released Empire Burlesq
It's Uncut
If he'd released Empire Burlesque this year they'd probably have given it 5 stars and put it in the top 10.
I tend to forgive their idolisation of him and a few others because they've also introduced me to heaps of stuff that I love and otherwise wouldn't have come across. (It also helps that I like Dylan, I'm sure.)
Good list for what has been a pretty patchy year
Shame they had to crowbar Dylan into the top 5 though.
Doves at 17
That's what I'm talking about.
strangely
one of the best lists i've seen
i dont understand...
Best of what? I don't get it.
Uncut is easily my fave monthly
so I can allow them the constant Dylan love in. Kurt Vile at #50 is one of War On Drugs, he's playing club uncut next week so that looks a little bit token. Prob my fave list so far.
I think that magazines like this
are just so happy one of their Gods is still alive they'd stick anything he did high up in the charts.
