But that "The Soldiers" shit is the worst shit I have ever heard.
Jesus fucking christ.
Do you mean this?
I'm talking about this:
It gives me the fucking creeps just thinking about it.
Oh dear oh dear.
and intrinsically American complete with American reference points.
Brits have started to go in for mawkish sentimentality post-Diana, but this is just too much for me.
So I feel their is evil afoot.
Are we sure this isn't some sort of trey parker/matt stone type joke?
really painfull stuff.
u guyz r fukkin cowards makin fun of our boyz out ther fightin n dying 4 r freedom u make me sick
You don't need schmaltzy sentimental drivel to appreciate the hard reality of what war means for our troops or their families, nor whatever the rights or wrongs of the cause, to be grateful that there are people out there who put their lives on the line on our behalf.
Will listen to it later to confirm, but that kind of shit does make me feel kind of nauseous in general
Besides, this is a music forum, and, musically speaking, a lot of people dont like "the Soldiers". Having an opinion about the musical quality of a pretty fucking exploitative corporate attempt to make record sales out of war and death does not mean I am a coward, or that I am disrespecting our troops at war. Finally, they are not fighting for our freedom, we will be free whether afghanistan is or not.
I made that rather flippant comment before reading the youtube video comments... my god...
which makes this hilarious, okay, maybe not hilarious, but at least mildly amusing...
you're a communist
which was enough to make me sick. fuck you Jeffrey Chegwin.this is sentimentality at its most heinous.
A disgusting insipid attempt to make money out of the deluded fools who will lap up that sentimental bullshit, really did make me feel nauseous.
But on another level I found it quite funny too.
