What a painter/decorator is to Michaelangelo.
who in turn was the female Tom Jones.
great legs I'll have you know
OH DO YOU SEEE WHAT THE FUCK I DID THERE, ART HISTORIANS?
I give you gold dust...fucking GOLD Dust
It raised a smile :)
Honestly her rendition 'you've got the love' puts my teeth on edge. She doesn't sing so much as bellow incessantly out of tune and the only more annoying voice out there has to be Jamie T who needs elocution/electrocution or whatever.
you should really have compared michaelangelo with a fellow artist who you don't like, as technically speaking, Florence has a very good singing voice.
Try again but replace 'painter/decorator/ with someone like rembrandt or neil buchanan.
her voice winds me up no end but no one else i know agrees with me. LISTEN WORLD! SHE'S WOEFUL!
you may not like her voice, but she's clearly a very capable singer. She's a more accomplished singer than the one from n*dubz.
Use your voice to show off the song, or use the song to show off your voice.
Florence should be working on a cruise ship.
Her cover of You've Got The Love is up there with Amy Winehouse's cover of Valerie in the worst cover in the world stakes. Listen to the original:
It's quite good. Florence has absolutely murdered it, couldn't she have just released one of her songs? Or they just as bad?
Not a single note was in tune. Didn't have the balls to ask the gf to switch it off. A decision I regret.
One of the best albums I've bought this year and I don't say that lightly. I believe I am not alone in this opinion although it seems that the only others making posts on this thread are those who want to use it as grumble corner.
She's actually quite good - let's move on. Florence Welch is to singing what Howard Shore's 'Lord of The Rings' score was for classical music and just like that it may well have reintroduced a new generation into something that was neglected - namely, good ol' fashioned big belting, pop grandeur. More please.
the <sarcasm></sarcasm> tags in that post.
I think you said it better mind...
