The "Reevaluate some records you've changed your mind about in the last 12 months" thread

Aidan Moffat - Quite good, but not as great as I initially suspected

Phantom Band - Massive grower, now my joint favourite record of the year

Animal Collective - Rather liked it at first, but now suspect it's 3 great songs surrounded by a fair bit of filler

The XX - Still like it, but really don't think it's THAT good

The Horrors - Gotta say, never got sucked into this one at the time but it's grown on me. A bit. But it's still a 7/10 record at best.

Kong - Just keeps improving with very listen. Mighty.

Pissed Jeans - Yeah, I wasn't sure at first. But I'm in love.

  • Agree with Phantom Band,

Pissed Jeans and Kong (obviously) Add to that...

Nurses - Apples Acre - Did nothing for me at first but now can't stop playing it, brilliant stuff.

Wild Beasts - Persevered for a while and thought it would grow on me but now I just hate it.

  • the xx which i loved as soon as it came out but barely listen to it anymore

wavves i wasn't impressed with first but love now

memory tapes was a short lived obsession

  • Burial - Untrue

believe it or not but I originally thought this album was a bit dull when i first listened to it despite or possibly because it was being championed by pretty much everyone I know. But it only recently dawned on me after hearing his contribution to the hyperdub compilation how amazing Untrue actually is.
