gettn love is all good with me. Other than that, its just another list of the MANY to come.
I like their Decades Best Metal list personally:
It suffers a bit from prioritising stuff that came out recently though (the new Skeletonwitch album is good, but among the best of the last decade? C'mon.)
anything by the Hold Steady ahead of Funeral is an automatic fail and White Blood Cells, really? Doesn't spring to mind when thinking about the innovation of the 00's - more like a continuation of 90's rock.
What's problematic with these kinds of lists is the one album per artist thing which discounts a LOT of great records: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, Boxer, Arular, Neon Bible, Antics, In Rainbows (hell, Amnesiac and HTTT too) are all discounted.
HTTT in particular is taking a whipping in these EOD lists because no-one wants to seem biased enough that they're slotted four Radiohead discs in a given list.
I would rather know their opinion that, for instance, Eminem released the 36th best album of the decade. I don't need to know he was also number 39 and 47. It's overkill.
Sail to the Moon + Wolf at the Door = gorgeous.
I'm with you on that one. I love 'There there' so much it's ridiculous. And '2+2=5' is, to this day, one of the best things I've ever seen live.
HTTT > Amnesiac > In Rainbows > Kid A
Videotape is just wonderful as is There There and Wolf at the Door but all are surpassed by Kid A.. Just awesome
You have your inequality backwards :)
