Editors - In This Light and On This Evening
Probably going to get short shrift on here cos people don't seem to like Editors BUT -
I've had this for a few weeks now, and it's been gradually growing on me. To the point where I think it's a bold album with a lot of depth musically, and manages to have a strong theme running between some great songs. Well done them for developing their sound and making a really strong 3rd album. A lot of the ideas on it are quite unconventional it's not just "Joy Division go New Order" as some people have said.
Anyone else enjoying it?

Editors
it's on my list of 2010 albums for sure
really love it
Give it a few more listens.
That is a particularly good song but i'd say the other reveal their charms over time, there's some lovely subtle melodies and moments.
i like the album, its sure is a grower.
Yeah I really like it myself
Papillon and Eat Raw Meat are especially brilliant.
I mentioned this in another thread...
but I'm genuinely shocked at how great this record is. I mean I always sort of casually liked the Editors, but this new record is rather amazing. Papillon grabs you at first but then you discover the depth to the rest of it and realize Papillon is like the fourth best track. I also love Like Treasure, Walk the Fleet Road, Like Treasure, and Bricks and Mortar. The whole thing has such a lovely, dark atmosphere.
