It kind of works. I read this somewhere.
All Pet Shop Boys albums have one word titles.
Peter Gabriel started by releasing a whole load of self-titled albums, then started to use two-letter titles (So, Us, Up).
Loosely alternate between 'Weezer' w/ them in front of a coloured album cover and a title that's not 'Weezer' and a non-band album cover. Although they're not really keeping with the sequencing lately.
have come out 7 years apart though - 1994, 2001 and 2008.
*makes mental note to resurrect this thread in 2015 when their s/t 4 ('the yellow album'?) comes out*
All of their albums (until their first post-reunion album) had at least two l's, with most double l's:
Send Me a Lullabye
Spring Hill Fair
16 Lovers Lane
Also Final Fantasy's three albums all begin with H: 'Has a Good Home', 'He Poos Clouds', and 'Heartland'.
All albums released by SNFU have 7 words in the title: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNFU
did a series of albums titled after consecutive Nicolas Roeg films:
Flyswatter has a big 'A' on the front
Buddha begins with 'B'
Cheshire Cat begins with 'C'
Dude Ranch begins with 'D'
Enema of the State begins with 'E'
The Mark, Tom and Travis Show has an 'F' on the drumskin
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket has a 'G' on the jacket
Those weird arrows on the cover of the self-title album sort of line up to look like a 'H'
that Blink 182 has a running theme on their album covers and names, the first one had a hidden A on the cover, Buddha (B), Chesire Cat (C), Dude Ranch (D), Enema of The State (E), Mark Tom and Travis Show (on the front the drum kit had a big F on it), take off your pants and jacket had a picture of a jacket on the cover which had a G on it's pocket and apparently that last album had a hidden H.
