maybe its a case of my expectations being so low, only leaving room for pleasnt suprise, but I think its quite good
yes there are quite a few people on here that agree (me included) I think it may be because of your expectations being low but also because you actually listened to it!
and the one written with the guy from All American Rejects ('Put Me Back Together'). 'Can't Stop Partying' sounds nothing like classic Weezer, but it's a massive grower and will probably rape the charts if it ever gets released as a single.
That's about it though - the rest is 'Make Believe' bad.
see them live on two occasions in 1995.
I bought Pinkerton on the day of it's release (on tape due to being £1 short, but desperate to hear it that day).
I woke up early on the day Green was released and was waiting outside the record store as it opened.
I love Maladroit too, in my opinion; it remains their most underrated album.
Make Believe was fucking awful. I have nothing to say about it.
Red was a return to form. Although only a 6/10 album overall, I felt it contained their best songs since Pinkerton, the singles in particular were great.
However, having listened to (but not purchased) Raditude and barring some sort of astonishing comeback or a Blue/Pinkerton Don't Look Back in the future, I am now no longer interested.
Red >>> Raditude
I went from being pretty much as excited as it is possible to be as I ordered the tickets, to being completely not bothered by the time the show came round. the Green album is the most disapointing thing that ever happened to me.
Having said that this is the correct order:
Pinkerton (obviously) > Blue > Scrapped album 5 > Green > Raditude= Make Believe = Red > Maladroit
Blue > Pinkerton > Maladroit > Green > Red > Raditude > Make Believe
^ This, again.
Only, see that '>' between Maladroit and Green? That one should be TINY.
meaningless fragments and bad riffs that dont add up to any thing, green despite the disapointment is catchy pop fluff, make believe is the same only with a little more feeling and easily their most underated album, red is mental, raditude shows promise, blue is a perfect album and only comes 2nd as pinkerton is the best album ever
