are you a bit confused now as to whether you still like it or not?
Posting eight year-old reviews that we disagree with?
For the record: my mother slagged off my favourite Jesus Lizard album.
Christ, do they not cut the cord anymore?
sewing a name tag into them. I didn't speak to her for a week
It was easier to do washing for a family of 5 altogether rather than me doing it as and when I could.
I no unnerstan
I couldn't believe she wasn't feeling Goat. Ridiculous.
It's hardly a scathing review. Pretty fair if you ask me- I don't know this album but Squarepusher's output is fairly inconsistent. Try not to get too worked up about it, you're still allowed to like it even if Pitchfork don't.
So you guys clearly got bullied at school right?
what's that got to do with Pitchfork giving a Squarepusher album an unfavourable review?
because you.....ARE....BORING. Go off an argue with someone else in the comfort of your bedroom in your mums house whilst listening to The Birthday Party whilst the rest of us discuss MUSIC.
My mate's fanzine slagged off Spare Snare :(
And yes......more boring.
That's a bit unfair, don't you think? What did want me to say? Why did you even bother posting?
Im sorry, my bad. Im going to stick to the Loose Women forum in the future, they know the score.
replies is more boring than discussing the matter seriously.
We were bullied and we're taking this whole thing deadly seriously.
That song is well fly
As is The Exploding Psychology and I Wish You Could Talk.
The best stuff hes ever done. FACT
Port Rhombus is the best thing he's ever done, fact!
hear Squarepusher doing stuff live and think he's amazing. But, everytime I check out some recorded output it's just awful shit with no direction. Which album should someone who likes songs that go somewhere check out?
I think Go Plastic or Ultravisitor are probably your best bets, in that they're his most accesible, congent.
BUT, I think part of the attraction of Squarepusher is the messy brilliance to his work, which if you sit through; both fits together congently as albums, and features moments of individual brilliance.
I don't know what you mean by direction, sometimes it gets louder, and sometimes it gets quieter. Does Miles Davis' Jack Johnson have direction his main albums aren't that much more free than that.
My personal favourite's Music is Rotted One Note, which is messy but brilliant. I'd say listen to My Red Hot Car - if you like that, Go Plastic, if not, give up on Squarepusher probably.
I will check those suggestions out for sure.
Also: Do You Realize? compared to Mike And The Mechanics.
why I hate Pitchfork.
Pretentious crap. I might start reviewing their reviews.
it made me laugh at least.
