What do people make of there being no UK acts, and it being all American acts bar one (Tinariwen)? I accept the US is probably going through a stronger musical phase at the moment but surely some UK acts are worthy.

The albums by Horrors, Art Brut, Manics, The XX and Aidan Moffat were pretty damn decent too, just not as good as ^ that lot.
In fact, I'd only have 3 non-British records in my end of year top 10...

Still not got the Kong LP though, I guess I should get on that one.
Its very, very good
If you like Shellac-esque stop-start heavy rock obviously.
I love a lot of those albums and even think this year has been far better than 2008 in retrospect.
