Is Morrissey worth seeing live?
One of those ones i've missed.

not in Swindon or Bournemouth.
fuck yes
you'd be a fool not to stand before him
I'd pay much more to see Morrissey
Yeah, definitely
Saw him at Wembley on the 'Ringleader...' tour - he opened with 'Panic', and I knew straight away that it was going to be amazing.
I'm struggling to recall seeing as he has bailed out due to illness
on the past THREE occasions that I have had a ticket to see him!
that's really unfortunate
morrissey should put one on just for you
I'm starting to think it may be personal!
I am struggling with the fact.......
I like his music but think he is a gargantuan twat. That said I did go and see U2 :)
I enjoyed the Leeds gig the other week
a lot more than I thought I would. So, yes, I'd say go and see him.
Yes he is worth seeing live
but as mentioned above he is a massive twat and he's also cancelled on me twice and I've ended up wasting over 30 quid (between me and a few friends) in booking fees on buying tickets for the cunt so will never risk buying a ticket to see him again.
I don't know if he's got AIDS or what but he is constantly getting sick and blowing out gigs. Is there any other artist who has cancelled more gigs than morrissey apart from perhaps Michael Jackson who only cancelled 50 which is no doubt less than morrissey.
YES
NO

my friends on the phone to me now crying about it haha
this is first gig in liverpool in a good decade or more i think
he does himself no favours.
i believe that
Morrissey is very clever, and keeps audiences wanting him more and more. His 'Legend' status in a society which overuses the word is somewhat understated. As a solid lover of the Smiths, it worth seeing him, just to see him. Some of his solo stuff can be a little 'draining' but when he performs, the feeling inside the venue is electric- in my opinion anyway.
well
that was a massive waste of time. he came on played a terrible version of This Charming Man. was halfway through some song I didnt know then he got hit. He said goodbye, droped his mic and off he went. Some guy came on like 20 minutes later and said 'Morrissey has been hit with a plastic bottle and the show will not be continuing' Glad I only live up the road. spoke to some people who'd driven from glasgow just to see him. better get a refund or I wont be happy
im sorry to hear that
in this case some idiot has pushed it too far! why do that, not a proper fan! but these things happen, fingers crossed you can get a refund, but i doubt it.
As he played for less than 15 minutes
There should be a refund. Yeah, it's not nice to get things thrown at you, but it's not like it was half a brick. He's getting paid enough money to let one slide and get on with the show, ask that people don't throw things, then get back on with it. A few thousand people lose out through because someone's a bit of a twat? Not fair on them at all, because they're not at fault. REFUND.
i actually like him more because of these cancellations.
He's pickint them carefully - London, Swindon, Liverpool; places no-one really gives a shit about.
Kik, have you ever been to a gig?

oh come on mozza it barely touched you.
very hard to say if its a plastic bottle or a plastic pint glass or what.

I just watched that link
It's pathetic. People have paid money. Just because your quiff gets wet don't walk off-stage.
can i come to your job
and throw a pint at your head?
Na.
As much as I adore his music, I'll never line his pockets ever, ever again.
I've seen him twice, and both times he has been a catastrophic let down.
I hate the way he seems to think that he can play with his fans, like a cat plays with a mouse.
so glad i didnt go.........
jesus christ that man is such a MASSIVE c*nt. he really, really is. arrogant, over rated fat piece of shit. go jump off a ferry somewhere you tosser.
Tour of Refusal indeed
It's the Swords tour
(sorry)
A twat, indeed...
The guy who threw that beer, obviously. Can't really blame Morrissey, it's not the most pleasant thing to be thrown at, is it? He didn't slate the guy, he did not attack him in any way, he just politely left the stage, that's what most cultured people would do in that kind of situation.
Nope - Morrissey = wanker
I saw Brandon Flowers get hit full on in the face by a pint, and Josh Homme hit on the head with a shoe....in SMALLER venues. Morrissey is an egotistical c*nt.
i for one am disgusted
the world is unjust enough as it is, what with war, massive socioeconomic division and environmental decay. but is morrissey now saying people DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO THROW BEER AT BANDS? is this what the world is coming to? what next? will there be BEER POLICE knocking on our doors? i am absolutely disgusted. i can barely even speak i am so convulsed with rage. HOW DARE HE. HOW DARE HE. HOW DARE HE. HOW DARE HE. throwing beer at bands is a fundamental human right. HOW DARE HE
Umm...
If I was working in a quiet petrol station and someone came in and threw a pint at me I would consider leaving for the rest of that day, putting one person who would cover for me.
If I was playing front of thousands of people who I could safely assume had travelled numerous miles between them and some twat threw a pint at me, I think the decent thing would be to carry on regardless, maybe embarrass that person a bit, but mainly be grateful that so many people wanted to see me in the first place.
If he went off for 20 minutes he had time to compose himself and evaluate the situation, more than can be said for the idiot who threw a bottle, probably with only a second's thought.
*putting one person out,
To be fair, the video does make it look really funny.
best comment on the you tube clip:
come on mozza you're not made of lego.
Why do people do it anyway?
Throwing stuff at people, it's rather bloody stupid isn't it? You're ruining it for everyone else, really.
He's
losing favour with photographers now too, his management want all copyright of any pictures taken of him forever.
