Does Pitchfork not add metal to their Best New Music?
The new ones from Baroness and Converge both scored 8.5. They're both really fucking good. The "Best New Music" dubstep comp scored and 8.2. Wha?

It's probably more of a voting thing, the albums that they all can agree on. For metal this year, Sunn O))) and Isis both got BNM with the same score as Baroness and Converge.
I agree with you - both albums are excellent.
