Warpaint.

fishwho [Edit] [Delete] 24 replies 16:24, 28 October '09

Just signed by rough trade i hear (www.myspace.com/worldwartour) & they sound bloody brilliant. Apart the 1990s can this label do no wrong?

  • They're alright

a little boring and samey though.

  • boring?

    • Its an okay record

Some songs are good. Some songs are catchy. It just doesn't massively excite me!

      meowington @TheRealShields | 2 Mar '11, 20:55 | X
    • It's certainly good

it's not as good as the EP promised though and the album certainly works better in a live setting.

  • much better live

    than on record. cheers

    • No chance

Dullest live band ive ever seen & boring as fuck on record.

  • hmmmm

loved them for a bit...then have rather gone off them

doesn't help that billie holiday is by far, like a millions miles is the best thing they've ever done

    Tiresias | 3 Mar '11, 01:45 | X
  • I agree

  • I absolutely loved the EP and thought they were great live

but I was disappointed by the album. It's just a bit dull.

They're maybe a bit too stylised. I can't really see where they can go next.

    • I CAN SEE WHERE THEY GO NEXT THE BIN

    • I'm the only one who prefers album to ep then?

      I think its miles better.

      • Well that's interesting, I heard the album first and it sounds like you did too

Maybe the majority prefer the ep because it came out forward andthey heard it first, thus affecting their preconceptions.

Someone above mentioned loving billie h best, and that's the track I usually skip.

      • I hate the word mundane

        Dinohead86 @codswallop | 30 Jun '11, 21:24 | X
      • I'd love 'em

if only the singer could actually sing. They sound like a bunch of english lit. students practising in a student union venue...a bit like Lush but without the mouse vocals
