i did, and it hasn't even been posted yet :(
and nor has mine! I want it for a long drive to Cornwall on Friday, sort it out Play.com!!
paid £1 extra and got it from HMV.com (yes, brightonb, HMV, corporate whore that I am) they dispatched it yesterday.
I've used Play.com since 2001 and never had a problem with them, but they have been a bit slower recently.
they're normally pretty good.
You get what you pay for; they're pretty slow at times.
Hence, I pirated it weeks ago.
strike my above comment from the record please
I've seen the book in loads of shops now, it's just more a case of i'm not cancelling it and backing down now.
it was on the news and stuff
Postal strike isn't until next thursday, although some areas of London are having a hard time getting post.
Seems the Fuck Buttons album is only in stock on the HMV site. Maybe its far more popular than predicted?
no sign of it yet (postal strike i assume), so i'm glad i also downloaded it the other week. its rather special :)
have been sent out so hopefully you should have it soon
What took you so long?
£8.99. I love HMV!
for shopping in HMV?
and thoughtfully cancelled my order
I got it from emusic instead
I have no idea why Amazon can't stock it.
and found them not only to be ridiculously cheap but pretty quick at sending things out too.
Pre-ordered mine from amazon last week, got it today.
On a side note how irritating is atp's vinyl/download code service thingy? You can only download one track at a bleeding time. Zip file please!
but Norman Records are indeed good.
but cheap as play.com they simply are not.
What about the amazon marketplace? That promotes independent companies and you can get books and music etc that you can't find in a place like Falmouth having moved here for Uni and then realised i'm cut off from music for 3 years.
the album doesn't change depending on where you buy it from. it's cheaper. you're a cunt.
Read it again and revise your answer because you're clearly being a hypocrite.
for the sake of a few extra pence, go to the label and buy it direct. apparently the band will receive pennies from play, and pounds from the label.
...although I wasn't told when I bought it (it was Speakerboxx/etc and all the swear words were silent). So I've never used them since. Maybe they're wrestling with how to send out an album by a band with "fuck" in their NAME.
play.com have Tarot Sport for £7.99, ATP are selling it for £11.49
I buy alot of CD's and really can't justify paying £3.50 more for each one just to support the label/artist with no value add. I could buy a whole new album for £3.50 from Fopp!
Saying that, I bought the recent Fever Ray record from Rough Trade for more money as they included a bonus remix CD (one of them buy Fuck Buttons). I thought this was a great way to add value to the sale.
It justifies the extra few quid you'll inevitably pay compared to other retailers.
