can only imagine how the set opened.
and worked perfectly.
put some headphones on and hit play... Spiritualized – Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space: http://open.spotify.com/album/5QIbnTdodAGWXj6ZfPOWKO
what time did they finish up at? thanks
finished about 10.15, and was absolutely amazing.
oh lord i'm excited!
out of sight was the sole encore song ;)
Quite simply the best gig I have ever been to.
superb. pretty much the biggest production i've ever seen, it was fascinating to watch everything going on and (i think) really helped smooth over the faults with the album itself. also also also cop shoot cop was so incredible, i totally zoned out watching the strings and brass go mental over those guitar drones.
seriously GOOD STUFF. if you're contemplating getting a ticket for the barbican show, i highly recommend you do so.
shoot cop was indeed out of this world - set highlight - i think jason smiled - or he could have just been hungry
SO looking forward to it.
Still not sure if it was the absolute best gig I have ever seen, but it comes very close.
Bit concerned at the start that it wasn't loud enough, but in the middle of 'I Think I'm In Love' the volume was cranked up and I think that was intentional.
Highlights - 'All Of My Thoughts', 'Stay With Me' was just incredible and 'Cop Shoot Cop' sounded immense.
I thought I was going to cry when the choir sang 'Can't Help Falling In Love' at the end of 'Ladies & Gentlemen' track....much more powerful than the Acoustic Mainlines version.....
A bit weird that there was no 'Oh Happy Day' at the end and no balloons either, but very minor gripes........
Amazing to see how they got those sounds and good to have John Coxon playing as well.
One of the best Spiritualized gigs I've ever seen.
some limited returns for tonights show going back on sale at the venue box office today
so if anyone wants my tickets - 20 quid the pair
all these comments are making me very eager for Manchester in December!
was such an amazing show, everything was spot on!
And face value ones at box office as well. Touts were selling below face value
The strobes during Electricity were SO INTENSE I started seeing colours I'm sure weren't really there.
I'd give it about an 8 rather than the gushingly handsome 11/10 praise from everyone else though. That's mainly because during the strobes I actually thought I was going to die. That, and there was a bit too much saxophone.
Was pretty bloody amazing. Really not used to going to shows with that much... flair(?) so I did sit there wondering if it was OTT or awesome.
Sound in there in incredible, even where I was sitting (right up top).
I was praying for something like Let it Flow, would be amazing with choir.
Brilliant gig though, Electricity was the best thing I've heard in a long while and Broken Heart was an utter delight. The only *tiny* complaint was that the choir was sometimes drowned out by everything else (the bit where it came back in during Cop Shoot Cop though = AMAZE)
I left when they'd done the album. My legs were hurting and my mind had been blown by then anyway, so left 100% happy.
a few tickets left
