One date confirmed at Camden Barfly on February 12th.
...the Camden Barfly. I just got a boner imagining the size and intensity of the pit. I guess you can't buy tickets yet, right?
Oh, you can. And I just did. It's on, it's just fucking on.
'Cause you only meant to buy one?
This will sell out for absolute certain. Now you can make a few bucks touting your spare.
Last time I saw them was the main room at the Corp in Sheffield and it was insane, I literally can't imagine how mental seeing them with 200 people is going to be. Plus it's another to add to list of amazing shows I've seen at the Barfly.
Word, blud. And not that they weren't great - but the last time they were here, playing the MF2, with some guy's dreads in my face, with shit sound and limited view - absolutely not the way to see a band like Dillinger.
In a naked circle pit with 50 other people as Greg blows fire in your face - that's the way.
i hope they announce manc so I can go closer to home though
What the fuck are you talking about, Willis? If anything, the Barfly is too big. They should be playing the Old Blue Last, or someone's living room.
This is gonna be brutal.
I go to see a band, even a band like Dillinger, not worry for my health and safety. Close proiximity to arm-swinging, fight-hungry berks does not make a gig more 'intense', it makes it far less enjoyable.
as a v small guy, i get absolutely destroyed in pits e.g. blood and bruises, the odd lost shoe and phone.
i never understand the people who seem to make it their mission to be the 'craziest motherfucker' in the pit.
in fact, i don't get the whole ' let's bash into each other really hard and not wear deoderant' thing
"Worry for my health and safety"?! "Fight hungry berks"?! At the risk of calling into question your experiences, in all the years I've been attending gigs by the world's most violent bands, I can't think of a single time I've been in or near a pit and thought "yeah, this could be less violent", let alone thought myself in any danger whatsoever. Hell, I've been to far more bad tempered Indie shows than I have by any metal bands. Especially those like Dillinger where 74% of the crowd are skinny dweebs with the upper body strength of a daddy long legs.
Why don't you just stand by the bar at the back? You know, like a massive pansy. ;)
Also, I might add: This suits me because when I go to see a band, I go to see the actual band - not the back of some guy's afro and maybe half a headstock.
I guess, like you say, it's all down to varying experiences. I had a great time seeing them (actually seeing them too) at the Mean Fiddler whereas there is no room to see AND escape from the violence at a place like the Barfly.
i'm glad i'm taking my housemate
he protected me from literally being moshed to a pulp when we went to go see the bronx.
that was fucking crazy
Never been to a bad gig in the Barfly, Fucked Up was crazy enough so can't imagine the havoc DEP are gonna wreak...
present and correct.
Let's fuck shit up.
just realised i 'm in australia then. anyone wanna buy two tickets?
£15 is a lot though... :(
Vision of disorder was sick, this one might kill me. I'm taking the day off the next day for hospital treatment <3
Is there any other dates or is it just a one-off gig in London?
but last.fm seems to indicate it's a whistlestop tour of Europe with only really 1 date per country.
They'll be back
Or is this yet another one off London gig?
