on his live in japan album whats the track that comes on around the 26 minute mark?
It's up there diagnosis murder!
but its not the horse with no name cover (although that is quality) its the track that comes on at 25 mins 14 secs. where are you getting the love boat theme from? im not picking up on that at all
but he could only commuincate back to me in barrages of white noise. anyone who can come up with a full tracklisting of the live in japan mix shall be regarded as a god henceforth
so i guess it's one he pulled out of his arse on demand.
i dont know whether to believe this or not. dont get me wrong, you seem like a nice, believable person but this is the medium of the internet that we're communicating through, y'know? hope that doesnt sound insulting, anyway i want to believe it so therefore i will believe it.
that really is amazing - that i had a niggling curiosity that a few days later ends up being brought before the man himself, that kind of blows my mind. just to be pedantic though, the track im curious about comes on at 25:14 although it does go on for a couple of minutes so it does technically appear at 26:02 too. seriously well done for contacting the guy, i thought you were joking when you suggested it. i cant wait for his reply.
ps. he said the question was a great one - amazing.
in my experience
but not fake correspondence mental. more "trying to base a cult around the music of Sunn O)))" 'mental'. aka awesome.
I think he's a credit to DiS; I'd love to meet him some day, though on some level I'm glad I live an ocean and a half away.
can i ask what other stuff you asked?
It was on the KTL live rss feed at some point, according to SOMA's site, but I can't find anyone who has it, alas.
the stuff i would ask him about. i got that belong record after i saw you recommend it in another thread. its brilliant. im currently listening to the fenn o'berg record, magic and return, also brilliant, viennese tragedy is beautiful
get the same places (slow version) track belong did for table of elements, its more in the october language vein. the colorless record was belongs reworking of syd barrett tracks i think, haven't played it for a while.
fenn o' berg is a collaboration between Christian Fennesz, Jim O'Rourke and Peter Rehberg. i think magic and return is two of their albums combined, its the usual white noise plus a bit of classical strings.
forgotten about this. sorry for not realizing sooner. did you hear back?
