come on disers, do your worst!!!
I wonder how many people will be gutted that it's not MMISL 2, lets hope people are a tad more open minded! like musefreek.
plus this leaves me room to rip off MMISL without treading on anyones toes.
Give the people what they want.
Stuff that, over the course of a record, could be quite awesome. I imagine if the production/recording of New Bodies wasn't quite as lo-fi, then I'd love. Re-Cut is quite good.
Vocals aren't too great though, nothing that stands out too much over the music.
that is all.
that is all, bit drunk!
I'll accept that compliment.
and i'm glad it's not MMISL 2
Looking forward to seeing you guys with Obits.
but is this planned as more of a long term thing as opposed to the other ex MMISL endeavours?
Shield Your Eyes; Toby leaves MMISL to focus on this and Shoes And Socks Off and then opts out after a year or so
Colour; Lewis joins and then they split up after a year, seemingly at their time to get noticed
and of course
MMISL; one of the greatest UK alternative bands of the last 10 years hands down, didn't make it to a second album
in one way or another, it is literally the way things have gone, no one wants a band to split when they get together. On a personal level this band is not the be all and end all for us, we have lives outside the band that we are all happy with but we love being in a band and writing songs and putting them out and touring etc and thats about it, if people like it then awesome, if they don't then thats cool too.
Fantastic gig at the Underworld last night and despite, unfortunately, ever seeing MMISL, one of my favourite bands of the last 15 years, it lived up to my (high) expectations. Enough of what I loved about them - understandable considering line up, but something else as well. The Crosby cover, last song (Swan?) and New Bodies were stunning - so much potential for such early days. I hope it works out!
are in my flat
