album due soon?
on the 14th over here I believe
but I wasn't so keen on the track it sounds to much like Kasabian, I hope the rest of the album is alot better.
there is a riff in Die SLow that soudns exactly like a Kasabian song from the first album and every time it drops in the song it makes me cringe.
Die Slow is awesome, but there's even better tracks on Get Colour. I reckon it might be one of my favourite albums of the year come December.
that riff really sounds like Empire or another Kasabian song I cant quite place yet
I'm gonna keep it that way, for fear of ruining Die Slow!
and see if this track grows on me. Really lookin forward to hearing the album.
I think I've pinpointed what you refer to as the Kasabian part, but it doesn't bother me that much because I've never listened to Kasabian. Concentrate on that skronk!
Got it last week - it is great. Having to get used to the new drum sound tho cos it's recorded differently; less thunderous. The vocals are amazing though, sound like they've been recorded in a futuristic cathedral.
I've had the album for a few weeks now. IN the context of the album Die Slow works really well. There's still plenty of noise and randomness elsewhere!
still warming to it, the tag line of must be played at no less than 90db should be very much applicable.
know exactly what you mean about the Kasabian riff Jimi, but the album as a whole is very good, and the vocals are great.
but even better is the Pictureplane remix
no, the real thing is much better - I mean anyone who saw them at ATP vs The Fans will know what I mean
it's bit like watching a load of vogue models at a hardcore or noise show.
they're all like that now.
but it's the weakest track on the record. I think Severin is my favourite. Or Eat Flesh, which seems to be getting all the flack in the reviews as being the one that sounds like a parody of themselves. It's the most technically complex thing they've ever done and i love the drum fills.
the video is cool.
I think it's the one track on the album that I not that fussed by. It sounds too much like really rubbish indie/metal/dance stuff from the early '90s, like Jesus Jones.
The video's awesome though.
Actually, someone on another blog has pointed out that it sounds a lot like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE5JjQuabB8
it sounds like a cheeky Soulwax mash up of Kasabian's Empire and Stabbing Westward's Save Yourself.
well the good bits do.
