I used to like them Silent Alarm era, but they have been making the same moribund music and playing the same stale sets since then. I'm no Oasis lover, but they piss on Bloc Party, even in their late fat bloated Elvis esque years. I had the misfortune to see Bloc Party on Saturday at Leeds, when did Kele become such a monumental twat?

At Leeds he came out and said "come on leeds, do you fucking want it? do you?" "we are bloc party come on, next year we'll be headlining" and people have the audacity to slate bono. jeeeeez.

I just realised this is the first time I can remember a band coming out publicly and saying Oasis are shit. This is like the fall of communism where people were free to finally call a spade a spade.

think its a bit horrible tbh. i guess both bands should dislike each other, they're opposite ends of so many spectrums but he should leave the playground insults to oasis. it suits them and they're better (funnier) at it.

i dunno i havnt really liked them since th first album. he got super arrogant, the press stated saying they were THE ANSWER and they stopped writing catchy songs. HMM FAMILIAR NO?

There's people who love Silent Alarm who I can't see liking their new stuff. When I see them on tv I do wonder. Just because their new stuff is so unbelievably terrible. I got Bloc Party at the beginning, they made sense. Now they're just 'there'.

Back in '07 Liam called Bloc Party "A band off of University Challenge", intending it as an insult, while Noel dismissed them as "indie shit". In retaliation, Okereke stated, "I think Oasis are the most overrated and pernicious band of all time. They had a totally negative and dangerous impact upon the state of British music. They have made stupidity hip. They claim to be inspired by The Beatles but, and this saddens me, they have failed to grasp that The Beatles were about constant change and evolution. think Kele was spot on with this but his latest spat is a bit mean and uncalled for. there is a history and everyone knows kele hates them but they should be given some respect for what theyve done now theyre split up, even though they were a bit pants. bloc party shouldve been headlining in the first place.
