Are there going to be many tickets on the door tonight?
I'm getting there a bit late
doors at 7, gang gang 7:45, AC on at 9
I've only seen sold out everywhere? I might head down now if there are tickets going.
well we havent put sold out anywhere so not sure where you would have seen it
it should say 'Contact venue for tickets' or something, it just means its too late to order them from them as the gig is so close.
as a 'yes you were right and thank you for highlighting this'.
It was a sublime set and pissed on their performance at Koko afew months ago. The sound quality was excellent and filled the venue easily. Oh, how I rejoiced when they played Brothersport. 1hr 45 mins seemed to fly by.
I thought they occasionally frustrated me, as I think they could still be a lot better live.
Gang Gang are immense as well.
Thought it started a little slow (I'm generally not a fan of their pulse-less noodling stuff and thought the live version of My Girls was quite weak) but once it got going it was bliss.... and Fireworks and Brothersport were both sensational.
Does anyone know what the track was that I think he dedicated to Phil Lynott - there was a track in 7/4 that was grouped into 3+4.... I didn't recognise it, but then I'm not that au fait with there back catalogue.
It just seemed a bit restrained, I was really hoping for it to take off but it never came. The set definitely got stronger as it went on, Fireworks was sensational and I'd have paid the money just to see Brother Sport (I've had an Aphex-style manic grin plastered across my chops ever since). Lighting was exceptional and I loved Gang Gang Dance too, even the fanny with the flag...
was a let down as the final song of the evening. it could have ended the first part but the jubilation of brothersport should have ended the whole night.
it was fun, i thought gang gang though were bloody amazing, intense. lighting was also intense. if anything.....better?
but not amazing, I got a bit bored half way through tbh
GGD on the other hand were immense, could have listened to them all day
of the dude waving the flag about during the 2nd half of GGDs set?
In my humble opinion he has the best job in music ;)
should have eaten some time into ACs set, wanted to hear egowar and some of the more ambient songs they've been doing.
Really liked the two new new songs they finished with, fucking relentless.
They sounded like they were just getting going. the final two songs were aceness.
someone was saying that about the show in bristol too but I think their ambient less driving stuff is incredibly beautiful, my hairs were standing on end just from single held synth sounds. Can't wait to hear more new stuff from them in any case.
I had also eaten too much just before arriving so I spent ten minutes trying to get comftable enough to move about.
I really like the ambient bits as well.
that was genius. pointless, really pointless. but they just hit epic groove after epic groove. was jaw-dropping
Fireworks was wild.
Shame about a lot of 18 year olds who seemed to MPP was their debut
Heard some kid saying they were crap, 'like a bad acid trip'. Seriously, what was he expecting? 20 different versions of My Girls?
Fireworks was amazing, and agree with what everyone's said about the encore; I thought we might get For Reverend Green.
That's a hilarious comment. You're a dork.
Given I was surrounded by people who went nuts during My Girls, Summertime Clothes and Brothersport and stood there going WTF is this during the rest of the set taking photos of themselves.
Unless you care to tell me my experiences didn't happen.
Oh, and check out the big man annoymously insulting people on the internet
