Now with boring notes:
NOFX - Bruce, Eddie and Paul (the guitar solos..oh man. Probably the best track Iron Maiden never wrote about Iron Maiden, written by a punk band.)
Wagdug Futuristic Unity - Systematic People (ex-MCM frontman going insane on gabba/noise/whatthehell stuff)
Obits - I Can't Lose (love the stripped back laziness of this track. Apparently touring UK in October...)
Alexisonfire - No Transitory (The guitarist dude should sing more like he does on this one - great noisy ccrrrrwwaaahhhwaaahh guitars)
Lightning Bolt - Colossus (CHUNKY)
I like the notes
it's fucking infuriating when someone puts down a load of stuff on last.fm and assumes we all know about it, I haven't heard of at least 70% of what gets mentioned here...

http://sonicrouter.blogspot.com/2009/08/video-rigas-den-andre-disordelle.html
Just got my hands on Ramp's Skwee Tooth comp and this track is so good, Skweee is like 8-bit music but funkyer, and more hip-hoppy and smooth.
Vladislav Delay – Melankolia [Leaf]
http://thesonicminefeild.blogspot.com/2009/08/download-vladislav-delay-melankolia.html

Melvins - The Hawk. I could listen to that riff all day, I really could.
Max Richter - *second track off the blue notebook*. I may not remember the title becaue I'm not sure what happened to the CD case, but it's stirring stuff.
Tom Waits - Small Change. I'm a sucker for a bit of spoken word and a bit of mournful sax. My Tom Waits impression has gone from 'barely recognisable' to 'oh wow that's actually not bad.'
Future of the Left - Lapsed Catholics. More spoken word, this time with big bouncy riffery. Yes.
Zozobra - Soon to Follow. Big meaty metal with a weird spacey vibe. Vaguely Cult of Luna-esque. I think It's a Cave In side project. The album came out a few years ago but I only just remembered it existed when my Ipod surprised me with it earlier.
