Me = cLOUDDEAD - Ten
Dead Dogs Two is such a great song.
It sounds pretty good on first listen, will report back after another couple spins.
As I type.. Jaykub (feat.Jason Lytle) is playing.
I first listened to that sitting on the edge of Highcliffe. Happy days.
Right now I'm listening to 'Cheer Me, Perverts!' by Flat Earth Society. I recommend this to all.
Silkie - City Limits Volume 1
Its fantastic, deep and soulful dubstep at its finest. If Detroit techno was invented in London in the last few years it would have sounded like this.
I was just listening to Gravious http://www.myspace.com/gravious as I'm writing some question for him for an interview on Sonic Router as he's whipped up a nice mix for us. His stuff is well nice.
Awful, I'm glad I used spotify instead of money to listen to it.
ace ace ace. Especially 'Life is White' and 'Way Out West'.
Such a fucking incredible album. This and Funcrusher Plus are just insane. Currently on 'Delorean'. Makes me think I'd love Aesop Rock but I've never really managed to get into Labor Days.
Next i think it going to be The Dodos-Time to die, Nick Drake-Bryter later and Oxes Ep
but I have Green Corn by NOFX playing in my head constantly.
I haven't listened to Ribbed in years. Sweet memories.
Then I think of all the things that I don't wanna do,
And when I think of all the people that I don't wanna meet, I close my eyes and go to sleep
Pretty much had that and Together On The Sand on repeat. Big love for NOFX at the moment.
"Post Nothing" This album feels so great in every way. yeah! very special.....
Russian Circles - Station
you checked up..
I wasn't really checking as such, more a case of actually wanting to listen to it :)
bananarama/lauryn hill/kelis playlist
while eating home made carrrot cake
awesome swedish girls
haven't played it for ages so popped it up on Spotify
Just switched to Bike For Three! - No Idea How. Good to see Buck 65 doing something this good again.
It still stands up as a classic in my books.
maybe not quite up to the same standards as The Vertigo of Bliss but it's not far off. The strech of tracks from Some Kind of Wixard up to and including There's No Such Thing As Jaggy Snake is one of the best passages of music that I've ever heard.
I think it might be their best late. Absolute slay the whole way through. Human Upskirt is a massive tune.
Quack Quack's self titled Ep which I picked up at swordfish on Monday brilliant wonky post/prog/whatever rock.
This Afternoon, some tracks from Boanthrope's myspace worth a listen if you're into your avant-rock/post-metal type stuff.
That is such a good EP.
sounds well good.
just downloaded it from emusic with my part of new set of credits! It's bloomin' lovely!
It's such a beautifully crafted album.
The closing section of this is BACK OF THE NET!
by Smog - Dress sexy at my funeral
The Highway. Nice little acoustic ditty
pretty indie rock. Mineral fans who haven't already heard this really ought to - Seam were a big influence on them.
Making me want a piano so much more.
its making me do the :O face
Ten is probably/possibly my favourite album. That, Hymie's Basement or Ether Teeth. I think.
Probably LP5, actually.
I'm so excited about the new one. Unrealistically so perhaps, but That Golden Rule is promising :)
maybe they'll surprise me but I doubt there's another Infinity Land/Vertigo of Bliss left in them.
It's a long shot, but if they pull it off, it'll be the perfect way to round off the decade.
don't you hate pretty much everything?
i love loads of ting. It's just that other people seem to talk about things i hate all the time, so what choice do i have?
Gorgeous Swedish dreamy pop. They're on the Sincerely Yours label with The Tough Alliance and Air France.
The tour EP they had earler this year, one new song and 3 covers, Tegan and Sara, The Faint and Murder City Devils.
also, they do a mean Beastie Boys cover:
Hope they play that next time I see them.
I always thought it was majorly inconsistent anyway, some great tracks and then some pretty average stuff as well.
Are you looking forward to the new album? That Eurasia track doing the rounds on YouTube sounds a bit rubbish but the part of another track I heard (someone posted it on the music board) sounded much more promising. Can't remember what it was called now. I'm interested in hearing this 3 part closing symphony they've been talking about.
heres a taste
fuck off amazing dubstep, wait for the second drop at around 55
Broken Record Prayers.
The downloads finally became available yesterday. Friday in case you were wondering ;)
Took me a while to get into but cant get enough of it now.
I saw them with Earthless in Manchester on Wednesday and they blew me away!
stupid National Express on stupid strike means I can't get into London to see them both tonight :(
in particular the guitar solo on 100 years ago
the Signals Calls & Marches EP. I'd forgotten what a satisfying listen this was.
It's been on repeat for nearly half an hour now.
Must. not. overplay. it.
sixties mod/psych small faces copyists. pretty good.
had it for a few weeks, washed over me at first, getting its claws in now.
but also Kill City by Iggy & James Williamson which is sounding very good indeed. Didn't fancy it much a while ago but now, hoo-ah.
from the MV & EE tape boxset.
Comfy in Nautica - Panda Bear
..And Carrot Rope - Pavement
Four Score and Seven - Titus Andronicus
The King of Carrot Flowers Parts 2 and 3 - Neutral Milk Hotel
were my last 5 listened songs as I shit out this damn algebra homework.
