I'll start - Micachu
I normally hate those trendy, 'now' acts (as they generally sound more like 'then' acts anyhow) but Micachu's debut is an absolute belter. Quirky, totally different to anything I've ever heard, obtuse yet catchy, succinct yet layered with depth...
After one listen I had no idea what to make of it, but I knew I needed to hear it again. And again. And again.
I've no idea how it works or holds together as it's essentially made up of lots of things I normally detest in music, but it amazingly does.
So I'm very much looking forward to seeing how she works in a live setting.
