Anyone know why the tickets aren't on sale yet?
are you going to Jeffrey Lewis in Sunderland that's going to be good and it's on the August Bank Holiday. The only thing is you have to go to Sunderland
I'll hopefully be off to see Jeffrey... shame he's not just playing the cluny again instead.
but I can't go to gigs there at this point without paying twenty quid for a taxi back. So I am very happy. And the last metro back to Newcastle is at about midnight which is coo.
Are you going for front/standing for the DJ tickets? I dunno whether to or not. Yo La Tengo sitting on the 2nd level was sweet.
I'm pretty lucky to only live about ten minutes away from it, but not for much longer :(
I reckon I might get seated, I would say there's not much difference in atmosphere wherever you are at the sage.
I'm going to move to Newcastle in exactly one year. I work in Gateshead sometimes and aye you could easily walk from there.
There could be an exciting DiS meetup where we stand outside and eat the expensive Sage brand ice cream.
I think crashinglikeamouse is going, so yeah, that could be a possibility.
they have tiny pots and posh flavours like ginger and pumpernickel. Well maybe not the second one but definitely the first one. Maybe some sort of meetup might materialise nearer the time. Tis many months away. Maybe drownedinsound's own 'soapy' will go too
I've never noticed that in the dozen or so times I've been there. I'm totally trying that next time I'm there. Fuck the recession!
Jeff and Jack are playing in the Independent in Sunderland on August 30 £7 adv - www.magic-teapot.co.uk
Ur answer might make all the difference. Idk if I want to spend £18.
Especially considering Jack Rose is playing the Sage the day after and he is going to be pretty good regardless.
Is DJ going to be playing collaborative sets on this date too as well as the London one?
